Established in the year 2008, ELGI Sauer Compressors Ltd is the joint venture between Elgi Equipments Ltd, Coimbatore and J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Kiel. The joint venture brings together Elgi’s decades of experience in the Indian industrial
and defence market and Sauer’s experience as a Global leader in the manufacture of High pressure air compressors for Navy, Shipping & Industry.
ELGI Sauer conglomerate focuses on consolidating the engineering, indigenization and product support capabilities of both the constituent entities, to build state-of-the-art products and provide customized solution for the defence, shipping, industrial and offshore markets in India.
Manufacturing and Test Facility
ELGI Sauer manufacturing facility is set up at Coimbatore, southern part of India . The set up is fully equipped with advanced assembly and testing facilities to produce state-of-the-art High Pressure Compressors of high quality.
The facility is established to test complete range of air cooled and water cooled models ranging from 30 bar g pressure to 400 bar g pressure.

We have competent team of engineers handling engineering functions in electrical, mechanical and operating controls.The engineering capability of ELGI Sauer spans the full spectrum from 3D modelling and detailing, product design to

ELGI Sauer products meets shock and vibration levels as per Naval requirements.

The shipping range of Sauer & Sohn Compressors are type approved by all major classification societies like ABS, Lloyds, GL, DNV, etc. Most of our military grade compressors are shock tested to Navy Grade NSS A and NSS II shock requirements.
